We had an incredible opportunity to get out on the water today for a sea fishing adventure — and what a day it was!
Thanks to James from the aptly named Fish and Trips, our group headed out into the Cornish waters and reeled in an impressive catch: 27 mackerel, 1 squid, and a gurnard! The excitement on board was contagious, and the sense of achievement from our young anglers was something truly special.
This wasn’t just about fishing — it was about connection. For many of our local children, experiences like this are rare. While holidaymakers often enjoy Cornwall’s natural beauty during a week-long stay, these kinds of outings have sadly become almost a luxury for the young people who live here year-round.
That’s why today mattered. It was a chance to engage with the sea, learn new skills, and feel part of something bigger — the landscape, the community, and the heritage of Cornwall.
